Hiring senior citizens have got its own advantages and disadvantages. It is true that limited physical mobility is a major drawback in hiring such workers but the amount of experience that this section of people brings is a big plus point for any organization or business.

Various researches have revealed that senior citizens job performance and abilities improve with age if they are working regularly. Also their interpersonal skills and teamwork tend to improve if the office has a good mix of young and old. As they have limited employment opportunities you can avail their services at a much lesser price as compared to the younger lot.


There are no doubt certain misplaced preconceptions about hiring senior citizens, but majority of them are hoax. However, hiring such staff requires careful planning as the recruitment procedure needs to be more stringent then for the rest of the people as you need to consider their health, activeness and mental things too.
